DIY iPad Stand
I got so excited about DIY iPad projects, that I didn’t want to stop with the world’s coolest carrying case. I read Crunch Gear’s Top 10 DIY iPad Projects and thought that my carpenter boyfriend could easily re-create (using better wood) the $5 iPad dock. Here are the process photos and there are more on my Flickr page:
Pick wood from the shop supply:
Set up the angle cut that will hold the ipad:
Sand the piece:
Apply a finish…we used teak oil for lack of linseed oil.
Tada!
But when we put the ipad in the stand, we thought it looked a little wide:
So Drew trimmed it down:
And we were finished:
And, I think that the leftover trimmed pieces make a good stand on their own:
Hooray for carpenters!
