DIY iPad Carrying Case
After I read a blog post about Turning the iPad into an iBook, I decided that I needed to get an iPad. I had several reasons, had read lots of positive and negative reviews, and decided that I wanted to fulfill my childhood dream of having Penny’s Book from Inspector Gadget. Sold.
So I bought the iPad, and went on a quest for a decent book to hold it. I went to a used bookstore and picked up an old, sturdy book about Impressionist art. And I followed the instructions from the DIY blog and created this case. Here are my photos and I’ve got more on Flickr:
And I have an elastic band that I use to keep it closed when I throw it in my bag. It’s one of those large elastic hair bands - “bra-strap” style.
I love my new iPad, and the carrying case is almost as cool.
