This is my friends’ NGO and they are a finalist in the BBC World Challenge 2010 competition.  Vote for them!  THey are such great guys.  Mateo & Lars. Heart.

They built a school from garbage - old tires, coke bottles, etc., and now they’re sharing the low-cost, highly efficient design techniques with the community, and keeping a ton of trash from being burned or thrown in the river, or over a cliff (they’re not using landfills so much in Guate).
